Capilano University’s new Squamish campus will open in September 2024, offering guaranteed on-campus housing for all students. Supported by a $48 million provincial government grant, the university bought Quest University’s former campus for $63 million, including its three student residence buildings for $55 million. These buildings will provide 333 beds, ensuring all new students have housing.

The campus, a 15-minute drive from downtown Squamish, includes single rooms, double-occupancy units, accessible units, and apartments for resident assistants. Rent ranges from $6,450 to $6,850 per term, including meals. The site will offer programs in basic education, arts, interdisciplinary studies, early childhood care and education, and tourism management.

A new six-storey, 362-bed student housing building is also under construction at the main campus in North Vancouver, set to be completed by late 2024. This $58 million project is partly funded by a $41.5 million provincial grant.  Additionally, North Vancouver District Council approved a plan by Darwin Properties to build two six-storey buildings with 346 market rental homes for university students, faculty, and staff, located near the new student housing building.
