Terra Group has acquired Volken’s store in Newton, Surrey, a unique establishment operated by students of the John Volken Academy, where proceeds are donated to charity. Despite the sale, the adjacent long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, the John Volken Academy, will continue its operations. The store itself, located at 6911 King George Blvd., is undergoing a closing sale until April 30, with plans to vacate by June 27.

Regarding the property’s future, Terra Group intends to lease out the building while preserving certain areas for the academy residents, such as the gym. The decision to retain the existing structure stems from its relatively young age of 15 years. Currently, Terra is in negotiations with various potential tenants, including a storage company and a daycare, with plans for a grocery store underway.
