A significant redevelopment project in Surrey’s Newton area will transform a 36-acre trailer park site into a low-rise apartment neighborhood, accommodating over 3,200 homes for approximately 10,000 residents. Approved by Surrey City Council, the project by Crispen Development and BCG Village will feature 20 low-rise buildings on the northeast corner of King George Blvd and 76 Avenue.

The transit-oriented development will include a childcare facility, public park, and riparian area. Completion is expected between 2029 and 2037, with phased construction. Current mobile home residents will be assisted in finding new housing options. The project aims to enhance the area’s livability and increase school enrollment by around 427 students upon completion.
