A new high-rise development might soon grace Toronto’s skyline near Yonge and Eglinton, an area already bustling with mixed-use towers. Madison Group has submitted plans to transform 50-60 Eglinton Ave West, 90 Eglinton Ave West, and 17-19 Henning Ave into two modern mixed-use buildings. This area, largely underutilized since 2014, aligns with the city’s goals for growth and densification. Plans include preserving the 1922 Hydro Substation facade, integrating it into the design. The development aims to enhance the streetscape with amenities like public seating and green spaces, alongside 1,206 new residential units to meet housing demands.

While older proposals included office space, the current focus is on residential units, reflecting shifting market trends. The project’s prime location, just steps from the Eglinton Subway Station and future connecting LRT, make it a highly desirable place to live or invest.
