Sinai Health plans to construct the Bridgepoint Long Term Care (LTC) facility near Toronto’s Riverdale area to address the shortage of long-term care beds for the city’s aging population. The proposed 20-storey building, designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects, would complement the existing Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital. With support from the Province, aiming to add 30,000 LTC beds in the next decade, the facility will offer 392 beds across various care areas.

The design includes 13 Resident Home Areas for long-term care and 80 beds for complex continuing care. The development will repurpose existing parking infrastructure, provide ample bicycle parking, and capitalize on public transit accessibility, with nearby streetcar routes and future subway expansions. This project is part of the broader redevelopment of the Bridgepoint Health Campus, enhancing healthcare services in the area.
