Langley Township plans to seek funding for nearly 250 new daycare spots across four parks, from Aldergrove to Walnut Grove, through the provincial New Spaces Fund. Following a council study, four locations were identified: Bell Park, Topham Park, Aldergrove Athletic Park, and Yorkson Community Park, with the potential addition of McLeod Athletic Park. Each site would accommodate up to 49 children. Councillors expressed concerns about parking and traffic but acknowledged that not all parents would arrive simultaneously.

The Township will apply for funding in the next round and consult with the BC YMCA for operating the facility. Further details, including land use feasibility and servicing, will be addressed in the next phase, with ongoing exploration for additional sites.
