Marcus & Millichap has announced the sale of Robson Centreplace at 818 Thurlow Street, a key part of downtown Vancouver’s bustling Robson Street retail strip. This landmark building houses major global brands such as Banana Republic, Zara, and H&M, covering a total of 53,300 sq ft of retail space with 70 underground parking spots.

Constructed in 1996, Robson Centreplace has a unique facade resembling six different buildings, preserving the street’s village character. Despite its prime location and high retail rents, the redevelopment potential of the nearly 33,000 sq. ft. property is limited by city regulations that aim to maintain Robson Street’s charm and sunlight exposure on sidewalks.

Marcus & Millichap and CBRE facilitated the sale for Hartleywood Holdings, the property owner. The sale price was not disclosed, but the property’s latest assessment value is just over $105 million.

Nearby, Roots is relocating from its iconic store, and Adidas is set to occupy the former Victoria’s Secret space. This sale highlights Robson Street’s ongoing appeal and the dynamic changes in Vancouver’s retail scene.
