Kelowna city council is backing a plan to rezone land at 380 Bubna Road for a new industrial park. Currently zoned for natural resource extraction and agriculture/rural residential, the land will shift to general industrial use to support a 60-lot subdivision. This area, within the city’s growth boundary and designated as industrial in Kelowna’s Official Community Plan, will host low-impact industrial activities. Regulations will mitigate negative effects on nearby lands, including the Okanagan Indian Band reserve, Lake Country, and Agricultural Land Reserve. Part of the land on the east falls outside Kelowna’s boundary, so rezoning there depends on the District of Lake Country.

The development would bring economic benefits, including increased job opportunities and boosted commercial activity from related sectors like industrial equipment suppliers and service providers. The new industrial park also presents a compelling investment opportunity for industrial property investors and businesses seeking a well-situated location with robust infrastructure.
