Troika Developements celebrated a significant victory as its latest rental project, 1110 Lawson, received unanimous approval from Kelowna City Council. The decision, following the final reading for rezoning and Development Permit adoption, allows the transformation of five single-family lots into a community-centric rental development, aligning with Kelowna’s 2040 vision. Co-CEO Renee Merrifield expressed gratitude for the council’s commitment to sustainable development and addressing rental housing needs. The project, strategically located along Gordon Drive and Lawson Avenue, will introduce 130 new homes, including studio apartments and walk-out townhouses within a six-story wood frame building.

Designed to blend with Kelowna’s urban landscape, it prioritizes thoughtful amenities and green spaces, reflecting a balance of increased density and respect for the neighborhood. Amenities include multi-use green spaces, a rooftop patio, co-working space, fitness center, and a car-share program to enhance urban mobility and reduce carbon footprints. This approval signifies a milestone for Troika, showcasing its dedication to innovative, responsible urban development.
