Northland Properties has officially applied for a development permit to build a Sutton Place Hotel at Kelowna International Airport. If approved, the six-storey hotel will feature 245 rooms located across from the expanded airport terminal.

The project includes surface parking for 195 vehicles, though only 122 stalls will be available in Phase 1. The rest will be provided in a nearby seven-storey parkade with 1,000 stalls, which will serve both the hotel and the airport terminal’s future expansions. However, this parkade is not included in the current permit application.

The Sutton Place Hotels, a luxury Canadian brand owned by BC-based Northland Properties, are known for their luxury and European flair. The new hotel will offer a range of amenities including business conference facilities, a fitness center, swimming pool, valet service, and an onsite restaurant with a rooftop lounge featuring local cuisine. The selection of Northland Properties for the construction followed a comprehensive process initiated in October 2021, ensuring well-advertised and competitive bidding through HM Commercial, a Kelowna-based real estate firm.
