Vancouver’s real estate maintains its pricey reputation, with values soaring higher each year. BC Assessment’s recent report confirms this trend, revealing a substantial increase in property values across the province. The Lower Mainland region alone witnessed a jump from $1.94 trillion to nearly $2 trillion in total assessments, with about $27.2 billion attributed to new constructions and rezoning efforts.

Among the most notable properties, Chip Wilson’s renowned Kitsilano estate at 3085 Point Grey Road stands out, now valued at a staggering $81 million, up $7 million from the previous year. This waterfront gem retains its title as the priciest home in British Columbia. Nine out of the top 10 most expensive properties in the province, as of July 1, 2023, are located in Vancouver, specifically along Point Grey and Kitsilano’s waterfront. This area, boasting views of English Bay, is a hotspot for billionaires and the ultra-wealthy, contributing to its status as a hub for opulent real estate.
