Construction is underway for 328 below-market rental homes in Port Moody, catering to families, seniors, and Indigenous communities. The development, known as The Creek at 296 Angela Dr., is part of the larger Portwood project, featuring amenities like parks and childcare. The majority of the homes will be two-bedroom, with many fully accessible or adaptable. Operated by M’akola Housing Society and Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society, these homes are expected to be completed by late 2026.

The project is a collaboration between the BC government, federal government, Edgar Development, and local housing societies, reflecting a commitment to affordable housing. This effort aligns with a broader $19-billion housing investment by the BC government, addressing the pressing need for housing across the province.
