Golden Gate Properties has proposed residential and retail complex at 4538 Castlemore Road in Brampton. This 23-story tower designed by Icon Architects will house 271 residential units, including 265 apartments in the main tower and six townhouses throughout the plaza. The complex will also feature various commercial spaces like retail shops, a practitioner’s office, a personal service location, a restaurant, a bank, and a laundry facility.

Municipal authorities and construction representatives are currently addressing zoning concerns. Public feedback has highlighted issues such as increased residential traffic, construction noise, and the impact on public services. Both the Peel District School Board and the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board have raised concerns about the capacity of local schools to accommodate new students. City officials assure that the development will integrate smoothly with existing residential roads and adhere to Brampton’s noise bylaws.

Zoning amendments for the project will be reviewed in upcoming meetings.
