The Vancouver Art Gallery has cut ties with Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron due to cost overruns. The project, initially estimated at $400 million, surged to $600 million. After working on the original design for a decade, VAG will regroup and devise a new concept to meet budget constraints.
