Pickering is making a second attempt to secure funding from Ontario’s Housing Accelerator Fund. After being denied in 2023, the city plans to apply again, aiming to boost residential growth by at least 10%. Pickering recently exceeded housing targets, adding 1,502 units and earning a $5.2 million bonus.
