The Ford government has voted down Bill 102, which aimed to ease restrictions on converting vacant office spaces into residential units. The bill sought to address Ontario’s housing crisis by reducing environmental regulation barriers, potentially speeding conversions by two years, but received 67 votes against and 36 in favour.
