Nicola Wealth Real Estate has purchased the foreclosed site at 304–316 East 1st Avenue in Vancouver for $13 million. “The Sophia”, originally approved in 2021 for a nine-storey rental project with 112 units, a daycare, and artist space, stalled and entered foreclosure in 2023. The site could potentially allow for a 20-storey development under new policies.
