Assembly Park Project Aims to Transform Downtown Vaughan

QuadReal Property Group's Assembly Park is transforming Vaughan's downtown into an urban hub, with plans to add three towers of 38 to 45 storeys in the Block 1E proposal. The development will provide 1,560 residential units and extensive amenities near the VMC subway station. Assembly Park includes 25 acres of parks.

2 Towers Proposed Near Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station

MPAR Developments proposes two high-rise towers, reaching 50 and 55 storeys, at 60 Talman Court near Vaughan Metropolitan Centre station. The mixed-use development includes 933 residential units, a 225-room hotel, office space, and retail. The 8,582m² site currently houses a commercial building and surface parking.

2 Towers Proposed Near Rutherford GO Station

Mosaik Homes has proposed two 23-storey residential towers near Rutherford GO Station in Vaughan, connected by a 5-storey podium. The project includes 700 residential units, outdoor amenities, and 700 parking spaces. The site, located in a low-rise area, benefits from transit-oriented development policies that favour high density.

City of Vaughan Slashes Development Charges

Vaughan City Council has cut development charges for residential properties to combat the housing crisis. Charges for low-rise homes dropped from $94,466 to $50,193, a $44,273 reduction. The policy aims to boost affordability and development with support from industry leaders. New rates apply until 2029.

Vaughan Development Site Listed for Sale Under Receivership

A Vaughan mid-rise development site, approved for 89 residential units, has been listed for sale under receivership. The site, managed by Crystal Glen Homes, defaulted on a $6.3M loan, prompting DUCA Financial to request MNP as receiver. 7 Towers up to 74 Storeys Proposed in Vaughan’s VMC Area

Toromont Industries has proposed a massive, multi-block development in Vaughan's Metropolitan Centre. The project spans 27 acres and includes 17 towers, ranging from 43 to 74 storeys. It will offer over 10,000 residential units, commercial space, parks, and new public roads. Transit hubs like VMC station are nearby.
