Primaris REIT Acquires 100% Stake in Oshawa Mall

Toronto-based Primaris REIT announced a $585 million acquisition involving Southgate Centre in Alberta (50% stake) and Oshawa Centre in Ontario (100% stake). Located at 419 King Street West, Oshawa Centre features 1,215,200 sq. ft. of retail space on a 79-acre site. It has a long-term in-place occupancy rate of 73.8%.

4-Tower Development Proposed in Downtown Oshawa

Atria Development proposes four towers in downtown Oshawa—three at 31, 33, and 37 storeys on Site A, and a 25-storey tower on Site B. The mixed-use buildings will include 1,716 residential units, retail, office space, and parking. The project integrates the heritage Oshawa Clinic into Site A’s podium.
